for small installations in a filing cabinet

We are looking for proposals for a collaborative project. Using an old,
found filing cabinet (possibly from a workshop) in which to exhibit the
work, we are looking for twenty-seven small installations to fill
twenty-seven of the small drawers contained within the cabinet. The
medium(s) utilized are completely up to the artist with an understanding
that all accepted works chosen for the cabinet will inspire twenty-seven,
one minute videos. As curators and collaborators in this exhibition, we
plan to respond by developing a one-minute video in association with each
drawer.

Please consider the dimensions of the drawers (12” x 9” x 3”), as they will
need to open and close upon exhibition.

The initial cabinet exhibition, consisting of all contributing artists,
will be open to the public October/November of 2008 in Halifax, NS, while
the finalized project, with the inclusion of the twenty-seven videos, will
be proposed to galleries as an installation or as video works, or both.
