"L’Atopie textuelle est une cause qui se perd" (Textual Atopia : A lost cause) is an artistic manoeuvre taking place simultaneously both on the planet Earth and on the planet Web. It was launched on December 21, 2000 in Québec City.
The participants are invited to circulate from hand to hand around the world metal objects which have come from a perforated sculpture. There are 476 of these round flattened “discs”.
Participants register on the Web and send in a small digital production (sound, image, text, or video), which testifies to their involvement in the project.

I am an auto-didactic cultural worker who has never been interested in discipline in any of its applications. I am primarily a performance artist although I also work in sound recording, sound installation and photography. My work is increasingly informed by the desire to make emotional, even therapeutic, impact on the audience member. As pretentious and new-agey as this may sound, I continue to believe in the healing power of art. I also love noise.
ATSA
ATSA is a non-profit organization founded in 1997 by the artists Pierre Allard and Annie Roy. Our mandate is to create so-called urban interventions: installations, performances and realistic stagings that bear witness to the various social and environmental aberrations which preoccupy us. Our name (Socially Acceptable Terrorist Action) is in itself an aberration, serving as an example of the concerns which motivate the artworks.
