This workshop will explore the designers’ process, use of colour, lighting angles, building lighting states, and cue timing, to help artists develop and communicate lighting ideas. Terminology and basic lighting concepts will be covered. Artists can bring a short solo on which to experiment with lighting different ways. Stéphane Ménigot designs lights for theatre directors, choreographers and artistic directors. He teaches lighting design and virtual lighting and is actually working on an international project with Pierre-Paul Savoie. He also collaborates with Moment Factory and Johnny Ranger, Fred Marrier and Montréal Danse. smillight.googlepages.com
